Talk Host Brian Wilson Says Toledo Made Him Sick

News/Talk WSPD-AM/Toledo PD/afternoon host Brian Wilson told listeners Thursday (5-27) that he was forced to move out of the area because living there was making him sick. Wilson, who hosts afternoons, has been airing live from Virginia, some 500 miles away, where he and his wife, Carolanne, paid $340,000 for a new home last December.

"If you have known people who have moved in from other areas, there is something in the air, in northwest Ohio and the Toledo area," he said. "What I have been told is that there is a residual of Toledo having been constructed on the former Black Swamp and if you're not born here, you don't enter the world with, I don't know, the immunities or you grow up being able to deal with it."

He said he saw doctors who told him to move out of Toledo or he would "have a severely truncated career." So, instead, Wilson is airing from Clear Channel's facilites in Lynchburg, VA.
