WPOI PD Tim Clarke Arrested. WFLZ Enjoys Every Minute!

There's been quite a heated classic radio war taking place in Tampa Bay between Clear Channel's WFLZ and Cox's WPOI. 93.3 FLZ dominated the hit music market for years but then Cox threw WPOI Hot 101.5 in the mix which began direct on-air attacks at FLZ. Reportedly WPOI called FLZ's morning man MJ "too old" and joked that he still had a myspace account.

A few months ago, POI brought in Tim Clarke as PD who continued the assaults. But then something interesting happened. Clarke was arrested this past weekend for disorderly conduct/intoxication. He was released on $100 bail but it's costing him a lot more than that in the humiliation department at the hands of his rivals. WFLZ quickly posted Clarke's mug shot and produced a promo called "Win Timmy's Bail Money." Hey, you see an opening and you take it right? And all's fair in love and radio wars.
