WSUA Partners w/UOF Miami for Hurricanes Coverage

WSUA-AM (Radio Caracol 1260)/Miami has announced a partnership with the University of Miami to become the official Spanish radio home for Miami Hurricanes football. Starting Saturday, September 1, and for the next three seasons, the station will bring football fans in South Florida live Spanish-language broadcast of the Canes games.

The play-by-play will be handled by veteran sports commentator Roly Martin, with color commentaries by Jose "Chamby" Campos and Joe Martinez. Martinez is a long-time Canes broadcaster, while Campos is one of the most tenured Spanish radio voices in South Florida.

"The Canes are a symbol of our city, dear to the hearts of all South Florida. We are thrilled to bring live coverage of all the excitement to all Hispanics in South Florida. Partnerships like this, together with our daily top quality programing, are what have made our station leading Spanish News Talk station in the market," stated GM Tomas Martinez.

"Radio Caracol brings a strong listener base, deep local roots and expertise in promotions," added Associate AD for Communications & Marketing for University of Miami Athletics Chris Freet. "We were looking for a more than just a radio partner, we needed a partner in the community. One that can help UM build relationships locally and create a stronger foothold in the Spanish market. We hope this three-year partnership is just the start of a long tradition."
