Jerold Jackson Named KRRQ and KNEK/Lafayette PD


Cumulus Media/Lafayette, LA, appoints veteran programmer Jerold Jackson as Program Director for Urban KRRQ-FM (Q95.5) and KNEK-FM (Magic 104.7), effective November 2. He'll will handle midday duties for KNEK. Jackson is a 15-year company veteran and for the past several years has served as PD of KMJK-FM/Kansas City. Corporate Program Director/Urban Formats Maurice DeVoe will assume Program Director duties for KMJK-FM (Magic 107.3).

Cumulus Lafayette VP/Market Manager P. Wayne Mulling said, "Jerold brings exciting ideas and a fresh perspective to our market. He will be working closely with me and with our sales team, our other first class PD's, and the entire staff to continue making KRRQ and KNEK the top Urban stations in Acadiana."

Devoe added, "We appreciate Jerold's leadership at KMJK-FM and his passion for winning. I know he will bring those same qualities to Lafayette as PD for our two powerhouse Urban brands."

Jackson said, "I am excited and honored to be selected to lead and take these two legendary stations to the next level. I am thrilled to get started on this new journey with Q95.5 and Magic 104.7."
