Magic 92.5/San Diego Switches to ''Purple 92.5''

In a tribute to his death, starting Thursday and over the weekend, Local Media's XHRM-FM (Magic 92.5)/San Diego will become "Purple 92.5," playing all Prince, all day and night. Upon hearing the confirmation of Prince's passing, Magic 92.5 opted to ditch their regular programming and replace it with the Prince library, which will be the only music in rotation through the weekend.

"As you can expect, the staff at Magic 92.5 and our listeners are devastated at the loss of Prince," said Program Director and afternoon host R Dub! "He was Magic's biggest living artist. Whenever we defined Magic, Prince was included. He was (and still is) part of the fabric of Magic 92.5."

"The request lines have been jammed since 10am, with San Diego wanting to pay their respects, share their Prince memories, and request their favorite Prince songs. While we are absolutely devastated to see Prince leave us, it's nice to have an outlet where the community can come together and celebrate the life and music of Prince together," added R Dub!
