Veteran morning personality and co-host of the "The Breakfast Club" on WOGL-FM/Philadelphia, Valerie Knight, exits the Oldies outlet after 15 years with the station. Frank Lewis and Bill Zimpfer remain in place are are reportedly taking the AM program in a new direction. During her time there the morning show (with then host Ross Brittain) won an Excellence in Broadcasting Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for "Outstanding Local Radio Personality/Team" in May, 2015.
"It is with mixed emotions I tell you that after nearly 15 years, WOGL cut me loose from The Breakfast Club last Friday. I wish Frank & Bill and the new girl starting in January all the best in their 'new direction,' and now the possibilities for me are endless," wrote Knight on Facebook. "Thank you for being such great listeners and friends for all these years, it sure has been a hell of a ride."
