Veteran Radio & TV Personality Jay Thomas Dead

Veteran radio & TV personality Jay Thomas has died after a battle with cancer. He was 69. Thomas most recently appeared in Showtime's "Ray Donovan" as well as hosting as show on SiriusXM beginning back in 2005. Thomas was best known for his stints at WKTU-FM, WXRK-FM and WTJM-FM/New York and KPWR-FM (Power 106)/Los Angeles. He's also had co-starring roles on TV's "Mork & Mindy," "Murphy Brown," "Cheers" and "Love & War."
"Jay was one of a kind, never at a loss for words and filled with so much fun and wonderfully whacky thoughts and behavior," wrote agent and longtime friend Don Buchwald, who repped Thomas for 35 years.
He is survivred by his wife Sally and his sons Sam, Jake and J.T., all of which were by his side his Santa Barbara, CA, home when he died.
