Entercom names Len Weiner as the new Program Director for Sports WQAM-AM/Miami, effective immediately. His new role is in addition to his current programming responsibilities for co-owned WAXY-AM (Sports/Talk 790 AM The Ticket). Weiner has spent most of his career in Sports Radio. He served for almost 12 years as PD for the ESPN Radio Network and was the Program Director of various sports stations in Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles.

"Len's leadership ability and knowledge of sports radio make him the perfect candidate to take on our two major sport stations in Miami," said Entercom South Florida Senior VP Market Manager Keriann Worley. "Adding the 560 WQAM Program Director responsibilities to Len's current role is a natural fit. I'm confident both stations will continue as the top choice for Miami's sports fans with Len on board."

"I'm very excited to be able to work at Miami's two premier sports radio stations. There is great talent on both teams, and to be part of a heritage station like WQAM and to continue to work on a successful station like The Ticket, is an amazing opportunity," said Weiner. "I'm looking forward to it all. Thank you to Keriann Worley, Doug Abernethy, Chris Oliviero, Pat Paxton, Weezie Kramer and David Field for this incredible opportunity."
