Legendary Puerto Rican Announcer Billy Fourquet Dead at 57

Legendary Puerto Rican announcer Billy Fourquet died Thursday, May 3 at the Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in Rio Piedras after a fight with an aggressive liver cancer. He was 57. Fourquet was most recently one of the hosts of "El Despelote" (The Flash) on Spanish Broadcasting's Latin Urban WNOD-FM (La Nueva 94)/Guaynabo, PR. He was a veteran programmer who in the 1990's programmed and hosted at "La Mega," SBS's "Hot Talk" and CHR format heard on WMEG-FM/San Juan.
SBS Radio Executive VP/Programming Jesus Salas said, "The SBS family is in mourning for this great loss, for us, for listeners and for artists, Billy is a legend. and vision made him a radio leader. "
