Star City Launches News/Talk ''The Patriot 104.3 FM''

Star City Broadcasting launches News/Talk "The Patriot 104.3 FM" on W282CJ-FM/Lafayette, IN. The move returns News/Talk format back to Greater Lafayette. The station will simulcast its recently launched FM outlet on co-owned WSHY-AM (1410). The Patriot will feature talent such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck and Michael Savage. It's also auditioning local voices.

"This area is booming, and there has been a huge demand for news and talk on the FM dial," said Star City General Manager Billy Huggins. "We will combine the power of top nat ional talk shows, local personalities, and news from our growing TV stations to create a radio station that will most definitely be 'The Voice of Greater Lafayette.'"

"Interest in what is going on nation ally and th roughout the world is at an all time high," stated Operations Manager Ski Anderson. "No matter what side you 're on, being part of the debate is important. Combining the resources of Star City's four television stations and our well - established radio station s will give us a solid base to launch and grow news and talk, crystal clear on the FM dial."
