iHeartMedia Names John Scott WQIK-FM/Jacksonville PD

iHeartMedia appoints John Scott as Program Director for Country WQIK-FM/Jacksonville, FL, effective immediately. Scott is an experienced radio veteran and has been with 99.1 WQIK for over 28 years. He most recently served as Music Director for the Country outlet and has held several positions within the station, including morning host, midday and afternoons. He began his career at WJAX-AM/FM as an afternoon drive host.

"We are thrilled to have John transition to Program Director for the number one Country station in Jacksonville, 99.1WQIK," said iHeartMedia Jacksonville Senior VP/Programming Gary "Geewiz" Christopher. "He understands our listeners and brings his passion and extensive knowledge of the market to this role and we know he will continue to contribute to our station's ongoing success."
