Legendary Voiceover Talent Chris Corley Dead at Age 55

Sad to report the death of legendary voiceover talent Chris Corley following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 55. Last week, Corely was presented Benztown's first ever Benztown 50 Iconic Voice Award for Lifetime Achievement in Voiceover. Corley was best known for his work as the voice of FOX, MLB, Discovery Channel, Nickelodeon and the Broadway show and tour of Book of Mormon. His 36-year audio career includes on-air positions at radio outlets in markets such as Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Charlotte, Fort Myers, Nashville, Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Corley's distinctive voice has also been heard on some of the biggest television outlets in the U.S., including stations in New York City, San Francisco, Denver, Washington, DC and his hometown of Fort Myers, FL. He has also voiced numerous commercials and movie trailers for major films including "The Punisher," "Milk," "Ghostbusters" (the recent all-female remake), "Twilight," "Jack and Jill," "Bad Santa (1 and 2)" "Couples Retreat," "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and "The Bank Job."
Atlas Talent Agency President Lisa Marber-Rich reportedly said, "After 25+ years together, our hearts are broken at the loss our dear friend and client. The world will be a quieter place without the melodious sounds of Chris Corley."
