Johnjay from the syndicated "Johnjay & Rich Show" and AZ Family Ch3/Ch5 are asking those who visit any Safeway or Albertsons in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah during the month of February to donate at the pin pad while checking out to help save homeless animals. Each donation benefits several animal welfare organizations in Arizona, Las Vegas and Las Cruces. The goal is to hit $1,000,000 million this year.

Homeless dogs and cats are a huge problem in the Southwest. Over 50,000 animals enter shelters every year. Animal Welfare organization in the community need help with medical care, vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping. It's organizations like Safeway and Albertsons that understand the need and are helping by promoting animal welfare through their very valuable pin pads at each register.
