1980's Rocker and Radio Host Greg Kihn Dies at 75

Greg Kihn, the musician known for his 1980s hits "Jeopardy" and "The Breakup Song," has died at the age of 75. Kihn, who had been battling Alzheimer's disease, was born in Baltimore and played a significant role in shaping the musical legacy of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Martha Quinn, one of the original MTV VJs, paid tribute to Kihn on X, acknowledging his impact on early MTV viewers and expressing condolences to his family. "If you are an early MTV'er, certain artists live in our hearts from those days. @gregkihn is one. Greg passed away on Tuesday at 75 after a battle with Alzheimer's. My condolences go out to his loved ones, and thank you, Greg, for the Rock KIHN Roll."
Beyond his music career, Kihn was a well-known radio personality. He hosted the morning show on The South Bay's Classic Rock KFOX for 17 years and was also a syndicated night host, where he connected with audiences through relatable stories and humor.
In honor of Kihn, his family has requested that donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association to support efforts to end the disease.
Kihn is survived by his wife Jay, son Ryan, and daughter Alexis. Details about a public celebration of his life, including a concert for fans and fellow musicians, will be announced soon.
