WDOK-FM (Star 102) in Cleveland raised $200,116 during its 22nd annual Rainbow Radiothon, benefiting University Hospitals (UH) Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. The fundraising event, held on December 6, brought the station's total contributions to over $5.6 million since the radiothon's inception in 2003.
"Year after year, I'm astounded by the selfless contributions from our audience," said Audacy Senior Vice President and Market Manager Jeff Miller. "It's fulfilling to see what Star 102's hard work can accomplish during this season of giving. Hearing the appreciation and positivity over the air has made the reward much greater."
Broadcast live from Star 102's studios, the event was hosted by morning co-hosts Jen Toohey and Tim Richards. From 6am to 7pm ET, the duo highlighted inspiring stories of hope and resilience from UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital's young patients and the dedicated medical staff who care for them.
UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, recognized nationally for its pediatric care, serves over one million patient visits annually. Funds raised from the Rainbow Radiothon support personalized care and innovative treatments for children in the region.
