Report: Dave Ryan Suspended Following ''Super Blow'' Bit

Twin Cities radio veteran Dave Ryan was absent from his morning broadcast on Monday following a controversial segment on his show last Friday, reports Minnesota Star Tribune. During "The Dave Ryan Show" on CHR KDWB-FM, Ryan and his co-hosts participated in a Super Bowl-themed trivia game called "Super Blow," where they appeared to snort lines of common kitchen powders as part of the challenge.

Listeners reported that the game involved snorting substances such as flour, sugar, coffee creamer, and pumpkin spice arranged in lines, mimicking the act of snorting drugs. This stunt was part of a trivia game where each incorrect answer led a host to snort one of the substances. While the controversial segment was removed from the show's YouTube upload, references to the snorting activity remained online until Monday evening.

The incident led to Ryan being suspended from the radio show, as announced in a message by iHeartRadio programming executive Rich Davis, who apologized for the "inappropriate content" aired last Friday. Davis's statement did not specifically confirm that the snorting game led to Ryan's suspension, but it was implied.

iHeartMedia's KDWB has yet to issue a formal statement beyond the on-air apology.
