Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) has officially opened the application window for its seventh annual "MIW Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship." This year-long program, designed to foster female leadership in radio broadcasting, provides one woman in programming with a unique opportunity for personal and professional advancement.

The mentorship is open to U.S.-based brand managers, content or program directors, assistant program directors, and music directors across all formats. Applications are being accepted through June 20, 2025.

"The 'MIW Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship' program is a cornerstone of our mission to empower women in radio," said MIW Board President Sheila Kirby. "This initiative not only fosters personal and professional growth but also builds a stronger and more inclusive future for the industry. We're excited to welcome another talented mentee into this life-changing program."

The selected mentee will receive direct guidance from some of the industry's most accomplished programming leaders and will also attend The NAB Radio Show 2026 in Las Vegas, one of the audio community's top events.

Previous mentees include Meg Dowdy of Townsquare Media, Traci LaTrelle of WHUR-FM/Washington DC, Leslie Scott, formerly of Audacy Inc., the late Grisel Barajas, ICE (Amanda Habrowski) of iHeart Las Vegas, and Kiran Riar of WMPS and WHBQ in Memphis.
