Cumulus Media launches Classic Hip Hop and R&B "The Vibe" on WXFX-HD3 (95.1) in Montgomery, AL, bringing a nostalgic sound to the River Region. The new station officially hit the airwaves on Monday, May 19, replacing a simulcast of News/Talk WLWI-AM. The Vibe features a lineup of artists such as The Notorious B.I.G., Aaliyah, 2Pac, Missy Elliott, Ginuwine, Salt-N-Pepa, and Sir Mix-A-Lot, aiming to deliver a "blast from the past" for Gen Xers and Millennials.

"We are excited to offer unique, new programming on HD that airs chart-topping Classic Hip Hop and R&B," said Paula Divello, Vice President/Market Manager for Cumulus Montgomery. "We believe the listeners in Montgomery and Central Alabama will enjoy hearing all their old favorites - and the station will be a benefit to both the community and our advertisers."

Paul Horton, Program Director for The Vibe, added, "The Vibe will attract listeners in the River Region who grew up with all the Classic Hip Hop and R&B favorites. The launch of The Vibe also includes the debut of the station's new website at 951thevibe.com, providing listeners with streaming access and additional content.
