The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) has announced that Juju Chang, Emmy-winning co-anchor of ABC News' "Nightline," will host the 50th Annual Gracie Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, June 18, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
The Luncheon honors local and student media professionals whose work reflects the values of the Gracie Awards -- recognizing content created by, for, and about women. It complements the national Gracie Awards Gala held earlier this year in Beverly Hills.
"We are honored to have Juju Chang host this historic Gracie Awards Luncheon," said AWMF President Becky Brooks. "Her commitment to elevating voices and sharing stories with empathy and clarity embodies the very mission of the Gracies."
Chang, known for her award-winning reporting on issues such as mass shootings, the opioid crisis, and anti-Asian hate crimes, has received multiple honors throughout her career, including Gracie, Emmy, DuPont, Murrow, and Peabody awards. A Stanford graduate and longtime ABC News journalist, she also co-founded the Korean American Community Foundation and is a recipient of the Justice in Action Award.
As part of this year's Luncheon, the AWMF will present the Make Her Mark Scholarship, created in partnership with Hallmark Media, to Raha Amirfazli, a graduate student in Film and TV Production at NYU. The scholarship will be awarded by Hallmark actor and Make Her Mark founder Ashley Williams, supporting women pursuing behind-the-camera creative careers.
Presenters scheduled for the event include Arielle Chambers (ESPN), Boomer Esiason (WFAN), Medha Gandhi (iHeartMedia), Erica Hill (CNN), and Vicky Nguyen (NBC News).
