iHeartMedia's My Cultura Podcast Network is expanding its relationship with actress, director, and producer Eva Longoria through a new strategic partnership with Hyphenate Media Group, the studio she co-founded with media executive Cris Abrego. As part of the agreement, Hyphenate has acquired an equity stake in My Cultura and will take a seat on the network's Board of Advisors.

The deal also includes the development of a new slate of original podcasts executive produced by Longoria and Hyphenate, furthering the network's mission to amplify Latino voices and stories.

"Storytelling shapes how we see ourselves and how the world sees us, and podcasting is one of the most intimate, accessible and powerful ways to connect with audiences and share meaningful, authentic conversations," said Longoria. "There's never been a more urgent time to elevate Latino voices and talent."

The announcement comes as My Cultura marks its fourth anniversary. Since launching in May, 2021 in partnership with iHeartLatino President Enrique Santos, the network has experienced a 48% increase in downloads and a 59% rise in listeners year-over-year. Longoria's flagship podcast Hungry for History, co-hosted with culinary historian Maite Gomez Rejon, will continue as part of the network's offerings.

"Podcasting is a natural dimension of the kind of IP we are investing in at Hyphenate -- premium, creator-led, talent-driven, and designed to move across platforms," said Abrego. "With iHeart's unmatched reach and ambition, they are an ideal partner as we extend into audio."

Longoria joins actor and activist Wilmer Valderrama, who became a stakeholder in My Cultura in 2024. The network currently hosts more than 55 podcasts, including Chiquis and Chill, Princess of South Beach, Wrestling with Freddie, and Sacred Scandal.

"We are honored to recognize our fourth anniversary by welcoming Hyphenate Media Group as a stakeholder," said Santos. "Eva brings with her a profound commitment to authentic storytelling... Her leadership continues to open doors and change narratives, making her a true force for representation."

Longoria first partnered with My Cultura in 2022 to launch podcasts including Connections with Eva Longoria, which tackled complex cultural and personal issues through in-depth conversations.
