Radio.Cloud Launches Playlist-Specific Assistant AI

Radio.Cloud has unveiled a new AI-powered feature designed to streamline content creation for radio broadcasters. Dubbed Assistant AI, the tool functions as a hybrid research and content development assistant tailored to each station's specific music playlist.

Integrated directly into Radio.Cloud's Smart Playlist system, Assistant AI allows radio hosts to select specific talk break slots and choose the type and amount of content they want to generate. Options range from local news and weather to artist insights, song facts, station promos, and more.

"This Assistant is more than a tool-it's a glimpse into the future of radio," said Jott Lischka, Product Lead AI at Radio.Cloud. "We're not replacing creativity, we're unleashing it."

In addition to prepping content for voice tracks or live breaks, the system enables users to rework the material for blog posts or social media. Hosts can interact with Assistant AI through a built-in chat interface, customizing the results in real time.

"You have to keep in mind that voice generation is such a small part of AI's capabilities," noted Andrew Scaglione, account director at Radio.Cloud. "Our latest AI innovation is the perfect hybrid use for artificial intelligence, giving stations the ability to split the difference between a traditional prep service and a fully AI voice-tracked station."
