CRS360 Releases "The Music Test" On Demand

Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) has released a new installment in its CRS360 series, titled "The Music Test," now available for on-demand viewing. The presentation, powered by Curb Records, features Leigh Jacobs of NuVoodoo and builds on findings first introduced during the Country Radio Seminar in March.

"The Music Test" expands on the organization's Online Music Test (OMT), offering updated song rankings, deeper analysis, and strategic recommendations based on a national study conducted exclusively for CRS. Jacobs is joined by CRS Research Co-Chairs Clay Hunnicutt and Justin Chase, who provide additional context aimed at helping programmers, labels, and industry professionals interpret shifting listener preferences.

The original CRS 2026 research examined more than 400 songs from the 1990s through today, surveying 600 country music fans ages 18-49. The study also compared listening habits between traditional radio audiences and heavy streaming users, offering insights intended to guide programming and music strategy decisions.

CRB said the CRS360 series is designed to deliver ongoing education and research to the country radio industry throughout the year. "The Music Test" and other sessions are available through the CRS platform.
