Florida-based Russ Oasis has agreed to sell WKLU-FM/Indianapolis for $6.3 million to Christian radio broadcaster Educational Media Foundation. The deal, signed last Friday (7-10), is expected to close within 90 days of FCC approval. EMF currently owns some 245 stations in 46 states with 16 outlets in Indiana.
Bergner Bergner and Co., brokered the sale and said that Oasis has no plans to sell any of his other Indiana stations, which are all based in Fort Wayne. WKLU will most likely flip to EMF's contemporary "K-Love" or "Air 1" format. It will continue with its current Oldies format until the sale closes.
