Judge Approves Citadel Motion to Cancel Contracts


A bankruptcy court judge has set the deadline of April 21 in the Citadel Broadcasting case for creditors to file proofs of claim. Government units filing claims have until June 18. The judge also approved Citadel's motion authorizing the company to reject certain contracts and unexpired leases of real estate property, ranging from tower sites to office leases to programming deals.

Another hearing to consider Citadel's motion for approval of its debtors' disclosure statement and reorganization elements is scheduled for March 15 in New York.
