Urban One's WOSF (105.3 RNB) in Charlotte has been named Metro Radio Station of the Year by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters (NCAB), marking the station's first NCAB honor.

The award was presented Tuesday, October 6, during the NCAB Awards Luncheon at The Pavilion at the Angus Barn in Raleigh. The recognition honors WOSF's efforts to connect with the Charlotte community through its programming and community involvement.

"We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from NCAB," said Radio One Charlotte Vice President and General Manager Marsha Landess. "This award reflects the hard work, passion, and dedication that Jeff Anderson and our on-air and off-air team bring to the station every day."

Landess added that she was proud to see the team's commitment to listeners, the community and advertising partners recognized by the association. "Radio has changed a lot over the years, but our mission hasn't," said WOSF and WOSF-HD2 Operations Manager Jeff "Uzi D" Anderson. "We're here to serve, connect, and make a real difference in the community."

Anderson credited the station's staff and listeners for the recognition, adding, "It's an honor to have NCAB recognize the work we do both on and off the air."
