Elliot Segal Exits WOR/New York Morning Slot

Elliot Segal and his syndicated "Elliot in the Morning" is out at News/Talk WOR-AM/New York. Elliot made the move there last January from his base at WWDC-FM (DC101)/Washington, DC. Midday host Mark Simone aired in that slot on Tuesday and Segal's show will continue to air on WRXL-FM (XL102)/Richmond and DC101. A statement from CCME said that Elliot will be going back fulltime at WWDC.

"After much thought and discussion, it's clear that we'd have to make significant changes to ensure that the show resonates as successfully with the New York audience as it does with Elliot's DC audience. And given Elliot's loyalty to his DC fans, we support his decision to continue to broadcast from Washington,," the statement read.
