WEPN Inks 4-Year Extension with New York Jets

WEPN-AM (1050 ESPN)/New York inks a 4-year extension of its broadcast partnership with the New York Jets, starting with the 2009 NFL season. WEPN has been the Jets' radio rights holder since the 2002 season.
"We are excited to extend our partnership with 1050 ESPN New York," said Jets VP/Broadcasting & Programming Bob Parente. "We are looking forward to working with one of the best brands in sports broadcasting, ESPN, to give our fans increased access to the team through unique programming year round."
1050 ESPN President/GM Tim McCarthy said, "We are thrilled to continue to be the radio home of Jets football. The Jets have been outstanding business and programming partners and an integral part of the 1050 ESPN lineup. We are collaborating on many outstanding programming initiatives this season and look forward to announcing those soon."
