KWDB-AM Tries Auctioning Off Talk Shows On ebay!

As of 8:00am (EDT) this morning, there were only 7 hours left to bid and "Get Your Own Live Call-in Radio Talk Show" from KWDB-AM 1110 in Oak Harbor, WA. The station is auctioning off five 55-minute talk shows on ebay that would air in the winner's choice of timeslots including weekdays at noon, 1pm, 6pm or 7pm and various weekend slots.

Programs would be broadcast from home using a headset and mic on the winner's computer connected to Skype, while the station provides a free professional call screener and board op. Winners also get ten 30-second promos per week to promote their show and timeslot and thirty 30-second commercial slots which they can sell to advertisers.

All this for a starting bid of $99 or a "Buy-It-Now" price of $199! Only problem is, so far they have yet to receive a single bid. Well, if you ever wanted to break into talk radio, looks like for $99 bucks you could put together one heck of an air check! The auction ends at 11:57am (PDT).
