For the past three years, Mariners fans have tuned into KIRO-AM (710 ESPN)/Seattle to hear every game played. On Tuesday, Bonneville Seattle Media Group and the Seattle Mariners jointly announced a multi-year contract extension for Mariners baseball to continue to be heard on 710 ESPN as well as serving as the team's flagship radio outlet.
Mariners President Chuck Armstrong said, "Our relationship with Bonneville Seattle Media Group and 710 ESPN Seattle is an important one for our franchise. With its powerful signal and sports format, we are natural partners for baseball fans in the Pacific Northwest."
The new agreement includes all Mariners regular season games, a minimum of 20 spring training games, pre-game and post-game programming as well as off-season Hot Stove League Shows.
"It has been a pleasure working with the Seattle Mariners for the past three years and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the years to come," said 710 ESPN Seattle GM Dave Pridemore. "Combined with our additional coverage of the team on MyNorthwest.com, we are striving to maintain our status as the number one place for fans to find Mariners news and information."
