Not everyone got fired this week. Congratulations to the morning duo of Tommy and Joe Johnson (real names Michael Otto and Joe Crawford) who have been hired by CBS Radio's country KMPS/Seattle. The duo previously spent 13 years at KUBL (K-Bull 93FM) in Salt Lake but exited in January. They'll replace Greg Valentine who had been filling in for the morning slot at KMPS after the short-lived Candy & Potter were fired in August. The Johnson and Johnson morning show is set to make its Seattle debut on Nov. 7.
KMPS PD Ed Hill, who worked with the duo in Salt Lake said, "The Johnson and Johnson morning show is a proven winner. Tommy and Joe are a lot of fun and awfully funny. Listeners will love waking up to them and we expect them to be a great start to the day. The Johnsons are all about great content that today's country listener truly cares about."
