42-year industry vet Big Tomm Rivers has written and published his first book, aptly titled "Life Was a Radio, but the Rock & Roll Almost Killed Me!" The book details Rivers' life. From growing up in a one-child family in 1950's Kenosha, WI, to his wild air talent days at classic Milwaukee radio rockers WOKY and WEMP, Tomm shares his tales of good times and bad. He also describes his advance as a broadcast consultant.
Also included, Big Tomm writes about his time spent with boyhood friend Bob Shane and the Kingston Trio during their 25th anniversary tour years. Additionally, the book features many of Tomm's own personal photos that help illustrate this man's love affair with entertaining people.
