Carson Daly Reups For Mornings on 97.1 Amp Radio/L.A.


CBS Radio Senior VP of Programming Kevin Weatherly announced a "multi-year contract extension" with Carson Daly, who debuted at CHR KAMP in January 2010. CBS converted 97.1 from a talk format to CHR and recruited celebrity Daly for morning duty. CBS cites the recent ratings growth in the 18-34 demo from eighth place to third place in the Arbitron holiday book saying, "Amp is the second-most-listened to station in Los Angeles during Carson's program."

He added, "Carson has consistently resonated with our target audience of pop culture-savvy young adults."
