Talk radio veteran Doc Thompson will be joining CBS' WXYT-AM/Detroit for afternoons (3p-6p) replacing Todd Schnitt who moves to evenings. Thompson was most recently the midday host on WLW-AM in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the afternoon host on WRVA in Richmond, Virginia. He also guest hosted for Glenn Beck, which he will continue to do.
"This is a critical election year, and we're thrilled to add a big talent like Doc Thompson to our lineup to talk about it," said CBS Senior VP/MM for Detroit Debbie Kenyon. She added, "People can now drive to work with Charlie Langton and drive home with Doc for the most informative and interesting takes on the issues affecting metro Detroit. He's an amazing addition to a strong lineup."
"Detroit has history of great radio and I'm very excited to be part of it," said Thompson. "We are living in stressful times and the news can be pretty depressing. I offer a unique and compelling viewpoint with lots of humor and fun."
