KMZT/Los Angeles to Air Weekly Opera Broadcasts

KMZT-AM (1260 K-Mozart)/Los Angeles will air weekly opera broadcasts from three U.S. opera companies. Beginning Sunday, May 27, the program will kick off with the Lyric Opera of Chicago production of Offenbach's classic "The Tales of Hoffman" starring Matthew Polenzani in the title role and conducted by Emmanuel Villaume. The series will continue with the complete 2011-2012 Lyric Opera season followed by the recent productions of San Francisco Opera and the 2011-2012 Houston Grand Opera season, respectively.
Presented as 'matinees,' the morning broadcasts will air each Sunday starting at 9am, and running times will vary between three and four hours. A full program listing including air dates will be available at KMozart.com.
