Hubbard Radio's KPNW-FM (98.9 The Bull) has launched a new live and local morning show, "Tanner & Friends," based entirely in Seattle. The program is hosted by Pacific Northwest native Tanner Chambers and centers on conversation-driven content, emphasizing authenticity and connection over spectacle. The show's format is built around friends talking with friends as the day begins, with a tone designed to grow organically alongside its audience.
Chambers, who was born and raised in Puyallup, WA, said the goal is to make radio feel approachable and communal. "Radio should feel like a conversation you want to jump into," he said. "I want people to feel like they're riding along with friends every morning, laughing, sharing stories, and starting the day together."
Nick Beyer, Vice President and Market Manager for Hubbard Radio in Seattle, said Chambers reflects the direction the company wants to take its morning programming. He described the show as authentic, local, and rooted in real connection.
OM and Brand Content Director Scott Mahalick added that Chambers' background in the region is central to the show's identity. He said the host's perspective and familiarity with the Pacific Northwest align with how the station wants mornings on The Bull to sound and feel.
