Patty Hixson, Regional Vice President of Cumulus Media for Fresno, Stockton, and Modesto, was honored at the Marjaree Mason Center's 41st Annual Top 10 Professional Women and Leading Business Awards. The ceremony, held on October 16th at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center, recognized ten Central Valley women for their professional excellence, community leadership, and contributions to their communities.
Hixson, who has worked in radio for 32 years, has played a prominent role in both the broadcasting industry and the local community. She has been involved with the Fig Garden Rotary Club for 30 years, serving as its president in 2018. She also held a longstanding membership with the California State University-Fresno's Bulldog Foundation and served on the board of directors for the Greater Fresno Area Chamber of Commerce.
In response to receiving the award, Hixson stated, "I'm honored and humbled to be recognized among this astute group of leaders. Giving back to the community is a central part of my DNA, and I thank the Marjaree Mason Center for this award and for its important efforts supporting all women in our community."
The awards, presented by CalViva Health, aim to inspire others and promote leadership and community service while highlighting the work of the Marjaree Mason Center, which provides domestic violence shelter and supportive services throughout Fresno County. Since 1979, the center has helped thousands of women and families affected by domestic violence.
