WABC-AM New York morning host Sid Rosenberg marked his 10th anniversary at the station today with a special seven-hour live broadcast from WABC's Studio 77, airing from 6am-1pm. The milestone program highlighted Rosenberg's decade-long presence on New York radio and featured appearances and messages from prominent figures in politics and media.
Joining Rosenberg live were John Catsimatidis and Margo Catsimatidis, owners of Red Apple Media and WABC Radio. During the broadcast, the pair shared an on-air moment reflecting on their commitment to radio and the station's future. John Catsimatidis reiterated plans to expand WABC's reach internationally.
"Sid Rosenberg is one of the most authentic voices in radio today," Catsimatidis said, citing Rosenberg's connection with listeners and his role in the station's growth.
The celebration also included a surprise call from Dave Donovan, President of the New York State Broadcasters Association, who announced Rosenberg as the recipient of the organization's Service to New York Award. The honor was presented live on air by Chad Lopez, President of Red Apple Media and WABC Radio.
"For 10 years, Sid Rosenberg has delivered compelling, fearless radio every morning on WABC," Lopez said.
Rosenberg thanked station leadership, colleagues, and listeners, calling the decade "the honor of my career," and said the anniversary marked a forward-looking moment for the show and the station.
