Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) has announced the return of its Digital Sales Mentorship Program for a third year, offering women working in radio and digital media sales an opportunity to develop their digital expertise and leadership skills. Applications for the 2027 program are being accepted through November 6, 2026.
The year-long initiative will select one mentee to receive personalized coaching from an experienced industry leader, along with access to digital subject-matter experts. The program is designed to help participants strengthen their understanding of digital revenue opportunities and apply those skills to their careers.
The selected participant will receive monthly one-on-one mentoring covering digital marketing and analytics, streaming audio and podcasting, digital video, cross-platform integration and social media strategy. Additional areas of focus include third-party vendor partnerships, client needs analysis, return on investment measurement, overcoming client objections and sales leadership development.
"Digital acumen is no longer a specialized skill in the broadcast industry, it's an essential part of being an effective leader," said MIW Board President Sheila Kirby. "Today's leaders need to understand how audiences are consuming content across platforms, how digital is creating new opportunities for advertisers and revenue, and how technology continues to reshape our business."
Kirby added that the mentorship provides an opportunity for women to strengthen those skills and prepare for expanded leadership responsibilities within the broadcast industry.
The program is open to women currently employed in radio or digital media sales in the United States who have at least three years of sales experience.
Applications for the 2027 Digital Sales Mentorship Program are open now, with a deadline of Friday, November 6, 2026. One participant will be selected for the year-long mentorship opportunity.
