Longtime Radio Duo Marty & Shannon End Split Up

The longtime radio team of Marty and Shannon has come to an end after nearly two decades on the air together, reports syracuse.com. Shannon Thannhauser, known on-air as Shannon, is no longer part of The Morning Mess on WAQX-FM (95X) in Syracuse, NY. The station's website now lists Marty as the sole host of the morning show, and Shannon has not been heard on-air in recent days.

Cumulus Media, which owns 95X, declined to comment on the change. Marty confirmed Shannon's departure but did not provide additional details.

Marty and Shannon began co-hosting the 95X morning show in 2014. Prior to their tenure at 95X, the duo co-hosted Marty & Shannon in the Morning on WWHT-FM (Hot 107.9) from 2004 to 2010, when the station was under Clear Channel ownership (now iHeartMedia).
