WRR 101.1 FM and KERA in Dallas have announced the addition of Brooke Scholl as the station's new weekend host and Programming Assistant. She'll air Saturdays and Sundays from 1-6pm on WRR. Originally from Washington State, Scholl holds degrees in Cello Performance from Central Washington University, the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and Southern Methodist University (SMU).

"Brooke is a wonderful addition to the team," said Kurt Rongey, Assistant Program Director and Host at WRR. "Her career and experience deeply align with WRR's mission to help support our local arts community and provide classical music for everyone. I know North Texas audiences will be thrilled to welcome her."

A passionate advocate for classical music, Scholl brings a rich background in performance, education, and arts administration to her new role. "Almost my entire career has been in pursuit of making classical music more relevant than ever," said Scholl. "I know WRR shares that commitment, and it's an honor to join the team."

Before joining WRR, Scholl worked with Opus 3 Artists in New York City, where she booked classical soloists and chamber ensembles with orchestras and concert series across the United States. She also curated the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's most recent Women in Classical Music Symposium and continues to freelance with orchestras across Texas, including the Abilene Philharmonic, Plano Symphony Orchestra, and Waco Symphony Orchestra.
