WDBO's Scott Anez to Host Orlando's ''News at Noon''

Longtime WDBO-FM (News 96.5)/Orlando radio host Scott Anez will become the host of "Orlando's News at Noon" this week. The move allows Anez to also continue his role as host of "ESPN Afternoons with Scott Anez" on ESPN 580. Since the launch of ESPN 580 last fall, Anez has hosted three radio shows -- "ESPN Afternoons" from 4-6pm, "Orlando's Evening News" from 6-7pm and "Inside Magic" during the Orlando Magic broadcasts.

Program Director Drew Anderssen said, "Scott literally unplugs his headphones from the ESPN studios at 5:59pm and has 60 seconds to run to the News 96.5 studios to begin his show at 6pm. As a listener favorite, moving Scott to host Orlando's News at Noon will allow him more flexibility in his schedule and a greater focus on each show, ultimately providing our listeners a more consistent listening experience."

Scott Anez joined News 96.5 in 1989 and has been the go-to radio host since. Current "Orlando's News at Noon" host Joe Kelley will continue in his dual-role as host of "Orlando's Morning News" and News Director.

Anderssen added, "For the last seven months, Joe has also been doing triple duty -- hosting Orlando's Morning News each weekday from 5-9am and Orlando's News at Noon from 12-1pm, while overseeing the whole News 96.5 newsroom. This move will allow Joe to better focus on his main role as morning news host and news director."
