RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, January 8, 2020 |
Mike Rhyner, co-host of "The Hardline," heard afternoons from 3-7pm on Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket/KTCK, has announced his retirement from the station he co-founded and helped launch in Dallas/Fort Worth in 1994. Rhyner was also elected to the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2016.
"These 26 years at The Ticket mean more to me than I could ever say," noted Rhyner. "In my heart, I will continue to be a part of it, even though I won't be there. And I will always pull for its continued success and foster that in any way I can. Nothing but love and respect for everyone there."
Dan Bennett, Regional VP/Cumulus Dallas/Houston, said, "Mike Rhyner is an iconic visionary who spearheaded what became the most prolific brand in Sports Talk radio. I could not be more proud and thankful to Mike for what he has accomplished at The Ticket, and wish him all the best in his retirement."
Corby Davidson, Current Afternoon Co-Host, and show producer Danny Balis will continue in their roles with "The Hardline". Davidson has been with the station since 1995 and on "The Hardline" since 2001. Balis joined as show producer in 2000.
