Urban One, alongside its new philanthropic arm, Urban One Cares, has launched a new podcast entitled "Altadena: After The Fire." Hosted by Colby Colb Tyner, SVP of Programming for Urban One's Audio Division, the podcast aims to keep the story of the Altadena wildfires in the public eye, providing a detailed exploration of the disaster's impacts. New episodes will debut bi-monthly until October 2025, supplemented by special episodes, and are accessible on The Urban One Podcast Network, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.

"Altadena: After The Fire" delves into the significant personal and communal repercussions of the wildfires on Altadena's residents and business owners. Through meticulous on-the-ground reporting, the podcast features in-depth interviews and compelling stories of community resilience. It also examines the environmental and political dimensions of the disaster and the recovery efforts to restore the cultural vibrancy of Altadena.

"It is very important that we do not forget this tragedy. As national news coverage has slowly dwindled once the fires were extinguished, we wanted to be a voice for the residents of Altadena and keep the rest of the world informed of what is happening," explained Colby Colb Tyner. "We welcome you to join us as we document the journey of a community determined to rise from the ashes," he added, emphasizing the ongoing narrative of recovery and resilience.

Additionally, Urban One has partnered with the Los Angeles-based Brotherhood Crusade to support their Wildfire Relief Fund. This collaboration aims to channel donations towards providing essential support for wildfire survivors, including shelter, clothing, food, and other personal necessities.
