Country WWWF-FM (103.1 The Wolf) Long Island will launch a new morning show featuring Cane Peterson and Sabrina Sergio beginning Thursday, September 10. "Cane and Sabrina Mornings" will feature a mix of Country music, lifestyle, humor and conversation.

The move marks a return to the New York market for Peterson, who previously hosted mornings on WNEW and WNYL and was also heard on K-Rock 92.3 and Z100.

Sergio, known on-air as "Sabrina From Queens," joins The Wolf from Audacy, where she was heard on Country 94.7. In addition to co-hosting mornings, she has been named Assistant Program Director of 103.1 The Wolf.

"The opportunity to create a country radio morning show in one of the largest media markets in the country requires talent who are compelling, edgy, relatable, have a point of view and are completely connected to both the market and the format," said 103.1 The Wolf Program Director Robby Bridges. "I have no doubt Cane and Sabrina are that combination."

Peterson offered a less traditional response to his return to New York radio. "Every single person who ever gets a new job and gives quotes sounds like a fake goober," he said. "The laundry list of people to thank for the wonderful opportunity they've always dreamed about working at. Blah." Peterson went on to thank Bridges and Connoisseur Media executives Keith Dakin and Kristin Okesson, adding, "I'm ready to get to work and dominate!"

Sergio said Country music has been a major part of her life and career and that she looks forward to bringing her New York perspective to the station. "I'm incredibly grateful to Robby, Keith and Kristin for the opportunity to bring my energy, my love of country music, and my New York perspective to The Wolf," she said. "I can't wait for listeners to get to know me, and for us to have a lot of fun together every morning!"

Connoisseur Media SVP of Programming Keith Dakin said the pairing is designed to provide Long Island with a locally focused morning show that reflects the community and what listeners are talking about during their morning commutes.

With the new show, The Wolf has finalized its programming lineup. Big D & Bubba move to Saturday mornings, Carsen handles middays, Bridges hosts afternoon drive and Blitz remains in nights.
