WMEN (FOX Sports South Florida) and Hubbard Radio South Florida are bringing back "Josh Cohen & The HomeTeam with KLV," beginning Monday, September 28. The show, hosted by Josh Cohen (pictured) and Ken LaVicka, will air weekdays at 5pm on FOX Sports South Florida and will also be available nationally through Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other podcast platforms.
"The HomeTeam for the ride home is back to make your drive at five go by just a little faster," said Cohen.
"Josh Cohen & The HomeTeam" originally debuted in September 1999 as part of the "FM Hot Talk" format on Real Radio WZZR/WCZR. The show, which launched alongside "The Love Doctors," combined humor, sports, pop culture, storytelling and commentary.
Following its run on Real Radio, the program moved to ESPN 106.3 in 2013. LaVicka, the longtime play-by-play voice for Florida Atlantic University football and basketball, joined Cohen as co-host in 2015.
Cohen and LaVicka reunited on FOX Sports South Florida in January under the "JC & Ken" name. The latest move restores the HomeTeam brand while expanding the program's availability across digital and on-demand platforms.
"The HomeTeam is comfort food for the ear-holes and souls of three generations of South Floridians who love sarcasm, pop culture, comedy, stupidity, sports and stories, and not necessarily in that order," Cohen said.
He added that the new version is designed to work as both a live radio show and an on-demand podcast, giving listeners access through traditional radio and digital platforms.
