Cumulus Media Joins Bonneville in Daly City Facility

In a restructuring of San Francisco's radio landscape, Cumulus Media is set to consolidate its operational centers with Bonneville International in Daly City. This move comes after Cumulus announced last November the relocation of Sports outlets KNBR (680) and KNBR-FM (104.5) to Levi's Stadium.

Effective Friday, January 10, Cumulus will transition all its San Francisco activities to the premises currently occupied by Bonneville, adopting a sublease arrangement in the process.

Classic Rock KSAN (107.7 The Bone) Program Director and morning co-host Chasta Michaelis expressed enthusiasm about the merge: "We're moving in and my heart is so excited. There are a lot of people at Bonneville I already dearly love and respect. A bunch of OG radio freaks in the same building... this is gonna be fun."

Cumulus also operates other stations in the region, including Talk KSFO and Conservative Talk KZAC. Sue Hall, a host at Bonneville's 96.5 KOIT, reflected similar sentiments on Instagram, declaring, "We're all moving in together. One big happy family. Bonneville SF + Cumulus SF."

Bonneville's local stations include CHR 99.7 NOW, old-school R&B KBLX, and Classic Rock KFOX. Since relocating to Clear Channel's old Battery Street offices in 2015 and facing programming reductions and local show cancellations, Cumulus found its operations increasingly streamlined. The shift to Bonneville's Daly City facility aligns with these scaled-back operations.

Other than originating from the same location, neither company's operations are mingled, as both entities are expected to maintain independent control over their respective stations.
