Newsmax has launched a new weekly podcast hosted by veteran broadcaster Greta Van Susteren. Entitled "Greta Wire," the Washington, DC-based podcast will feature interviews with figures across politics, business, sports and entertainment. The program is available on major platforms including Apple, Spotify, social media channels and Newsmax's YouTube outlet.
Van Susteren currently hosts "The Record With Greta Van Susteren" on Newsmax and brings decades of experience in broadcast journalism to the new project. Trained as a lawyer, she gained national recognition as a legal analyst during the O. J. Simpson murder trial before going on to host programs on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, and contribute to Voice of America.
Van Susteren said the podcast format will allow for deeper exploration of issues with listeners seeking more detailed discussions.
Ralph Renzi, CEO of Newsmax Audio and Radio, said the addition of "Greta Wire" expands the company's podcast lineup, which includes shows hosted by Tony Marino, Rob Carson, Gerry Callahan and Greg Kelly.
