Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) has selected Cosette Nowik as the recipient of its 2026 Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship, an annual program designed to develop the next generation of female programming executives.

Now in its eighth year, the year-long mentorship provides one emerging programming leader with one-on-one guidance from some of the radio industry's top programming executives, along with networking opportunities and career development. As part of the program, Nowik will also attend the 2027 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Nowik serves as Program Director and PM Drive host at WWWX-FM (96.9 The Fox) in Oshkosh, WI, where she oversees the station's alternative music programming. After beginning her radio career in Chicago, she has continued to build her programming leadership experience in Wisconsin's Fox Valley.

MIW Board Member and former mentorship recipient Leslie Scott said the program provides opportunities that extend well beyond programming, helping participants build lasting industry relationships and gain access to influential leaders.

"I am overwhelmed with gratitude to have been selected as the recipient of the MIW Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship," Nowik said. "Chosen from an accomplished field of candidates, I look forward to learning from industry leaders, taking advantage of this educational opportunity to strengthen my programming and leadership skills."

The MIW Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship has recognized a number of rising programming professionals since its launch, including Hannah Brummer, Kiran Riar, Traci LaTrelle, Leslie Scott, Amanda Habrowski, and Meg Dowdy. The program also continues to honor the legacy of Grisel Barajas, a promising programming leader whose career was tragically cut short in 2020.
