Jeff Katz Renews with WRVA in Richmond

Audacy has renewed its contract with longtime WRVA Richmond afternoon host Jeff Katz, who is entering his 14th year with the station and 35th year in talk radio. Katz will continue hosting afternoon drive on NewsRadio WRVA, extending a run that has made him a fixture in Richmond radio and the talk format.

During his career, Katz has been recognized by Talkers Magazine as one of its Top 100 talk hosts and was named the publication's Humanitarian of the Year in 2022. He has also ranked among Barrett Media's Top 5 Mid-Market Talk Hosts for four consecutive years and makes regular appearances on Newsmax TV.

Beyond his work on the air, Katz has helped raise more than $1 million for charities in Central Virginia. He was also appointed by Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin to the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities.

Katz's presence in the Richmond community has even extended to local food and beverage offerings named in his honor, including the JK Hot Dog, JK Sandwich, JK Blend of Olive Oil, Jeff Katz Milkshake and a seasonal beer called Jeffeweizen.
