Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) has opened applications for the fourth annual "Behind The Mic Mentorship," a year-long program designed to help advance the careers of emerging female on-air talent.

The program is open to female personalities with at least three to five years of experience in a local or national on-air role. One personality working in a U.S.-based music format will be selected for the 2026-27 mentorship.

The selected mentee will receive individualized mentoring and direct access to accomplished industry professionals for one-on-one conversations, career guidance and professional development. The program also includes an opportunity to attend Radio Show 2027 in Las Vegas in April.

"One of MIW's greatest strengths is the incredible bench of female leadership across our organization and the willingness of those women to invest in the next generation," said MIW Board President Sheila Kirby.

Kirby said Behind The Mic puts that experience to work by connecting rising talent with women who have built successful careers in radio and can provide guidance on advancing in the industry.

"MIW is all about creating meaningful opportunities, opening doors and ensuring talented women have the support and relationships they need to keep moving forward," she added.

Applications are being accepted through Wednesday, September 30.
